CONNECTING WITH YOUR SPIRIT GUIDES AND ANGELS
Part One

Hi!

We’re going to have fun today!! Are you ready?

One of the most common questions that people ask me is “Who are my spirit guides and angels and how can I communicate with them?”

We all have spirit guides and angels. These etheric companions have been with you since birth and were created to support and guide you on your earth journey.

ANGELS
Angels are a universal phenomenon. Almost every religion on earth supports the belief that we have angels.

Angels are great teachers and help us in our daily lives. You don’t have to be aware of your angels to experience the benefit of their love and support.

It is common for people to have conscious experiences of angelic intervention in times of extreme stress or danger. For example, one of my first experiences with angels happened when I was on a road trip with my children.

My four children and I had been on a camping trip together. We had just started on our three-hour drive home. It was early in the morning and I was awake and refreshed. Suddenly, just outside a small town in central Texas, I felt very, very sleepy.

Now this was very weird for me. My friends and family call me “The Road Warrior” because I have been known to drive 20 hour drives in one stretch and never get tired. I love driving!

But on this day I was suddenly very tired. And I had only been driving for 30 minutes. As is my normal style, I forged forward and kept driving even though all I really wanted to do was take a nap. Suddenly, out of now where, a loud, very firm voice told me, in no uncertain terms, to pull over.

On the left side of the road was a small park (right in the middle of no where). I pulled over and slept very deeply for about 20 minutes while my kids played in the back seat.

When I woke up I was refreshed and ready to drive. We drove through town heading home. As we got to the end of the town, we got stuck in a traffic jam. All the traffic was being directed to one side of the road and was creeping at a very slow pace.

As we moved forward, we saw lots of flashing lights and several ambulances drove by. Up ahead in our lane was a terrible, multi-car accident. Apparently, a large truck has crossed the median in the road and smashed into several cars in the oncoming lane.

Four people died in that wreck. I can not help but think that my children and I were divinely protected that day. I passed the twisted metal and flames as I drove by and whispered a prayer of gratitude.

Angels are communicating with you constantly even if you are not in danger. With just a little instruction, you can learn to connect with your angels quite easily. Over the next few weeks, I will give you some techniques to show you how.

SPIRIT GUIDES
Unlike angels, who have never been incarnated on Earth, most spirit guides have had lifetimes on Earth. Spirit guides are very practical and sometimes even humorous.

Spirit guides will often make their presence known by planting songs in your head. Have you ever experienced a situation and wondered how to handle it when a song will pop into your head that seems to offer insight or a solution to your situation?

My spirit guide is a great movie fan. Often when I am working with a client he will whisper lines from movies that help me help my client.

My favorite example happened during a workshop I was teaching in Oregon. I was doing EFT with a student and she was feeling very stuck about not feeling able to do the things that she desperately wanted to do with her life.

While she was talking, my guide zoomed over her head wearing a Spiderman costume. As he flew about he said the phrase, “With great power comes great responsibility.” Those of you with knowledge about the movie Spiderman, will recognize this important phrase from the Spiderman movie.

With that insight from my guide, I realized that my student was very burned out and was afraid to take action because she was afraid to take on more responsibility. When I addressed her burnout, she collapsed in tears.

With just a little bit of EFT (for more information about EFT, visit www.joyfulmission.com) she was able to address the huge underlying issues. She has since quit her job, and realized her dream of opening a metaphysical store.

Spirit guides are also with you from birth. Many of us addressed them as imaginary friends” when we were very young.

You can change guides or “upgrade” as you progress on your Earth journey. You can also ask for more guides with different experiences to help you with different projects. Right now I am working with some extra guides who are helping me with business ideas.

Just like with angels, you don’t have to have conscious awareness of your spirit guides in order to reap the benefit of their presence in your life.

Next week I will teach you some very simple exercises to help you become conscious of your angels and your spirit guides. I’ll also teach you how to find out the name of your angels and your guides.
