What Will You Be Learning?

You will get exposed to a wealth of knowledge and understanding. But more importantly you will get to see exactly how to transform those understandings into very practical and usable tools to help solve and heal the very real, everyday problems and challenges faced by almost all families today.

1. You will quickly gain an in-depth understanding of current evolutionary trends in children including:

 

a.      Common behavioral manifestations of Gifted and ADD/ADHD children.

b.      Common challenges facing families raising Gifted and ADD/ADHD children.

c.      The impact that these "new" children have on family structure and function.

d.      How to use the Family Coaching Model to support and encourage families of Gifted and ADD/ADHD children.

2. You will start to expand on your understanding of normal child development and the development of the family including information about:

a.      Pregnancy and childbirth.

b.      Child development and discipline; moving into a model of democratic parenting vs. autocratic or permissive parenting.

c.      Misbehavior and its causes.

d.      Chakra development in children.

e.      Brain development and the impact it has on behavior, learning and communication.

f.        Family developmental issues.

g.      Young adult indigos and their unique issues.

3. You will gain insight and understanding about the spiritual life of Gifted and ADD/ADHD children and how it impacts on development, sleep and education.

4. You will learn how to use the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a meridian-based accupressure system that can be used to support families dealing with many emotional, spiritual and physiological issues. You will learn how to teach and implement EFT with parents and modify it appropriately with children. EFT is a lightning quick and extremely effective tool to immediately shift emotionally based fears into loving self acceptance. You will love this techinique!

5. You will learn to use various assessment tools including intuition, DAT (Draw a Tree) and the Human Design System to evaluate a family. You will develop a preliminary understanding of the Human Design system and learn to use Human Design to pinpoint potential areas of strengths and vulnerabilities in individual family members. You will use Human Design as a teaching tool to support family members in enhancing respectful conversation and actions.  (I also offer an entire six month training course on just Human Design. DAT (Draw A Tree) is a wonderful and innocent visual tool that gives you startlingly clear information about past and present and future focus. And your own intuition will get some fun tuning up too.  

6. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the impact of psychoactive medications on children. You will learn effective ways to support families in getting rid of these medications, including an understanding of proactive behavioral changes in the family structure and information on important nutritional support.

7. You will learn how to support and become advocates for families in the school system. Including learning about right-brain learning strategies, educational alternatives and options and the rights of families within the public school system.

8. You will gain an extensive understanding of marketing strategies to help support and promote your practice. All participants, upon completion of certification requirements will be eligible for listing on the Joyful Mission website as a Certified Family Coach. In addition, all coaches will become part of an international network of Certified Family Coaches. In addition to being listed with Joyful Mission, all coaches will have access to an internet-based forum which offers professional updates, networking opportunities and other marketing tools to support the coaches in building, keeping and enjoying a full practice doing work they love.

What Does This Program Look Like?

The first part of this program requires that you attend the six month tele-training in the comfort of your own home or office. During this six month training you will be taught the basic coaching skills necessary to begin your practice. This training will give you many opportunities to experiment with your new knowledge and share with your fellow students.

This six month tele-class training starts September 26 2007  and goes to March 10, 2008. Class meets every Monday, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Central Time, USA.

After the class, for the following six months, we will get together by phone every other week for one hour tele-seminars as part of your apprenticeship program. During these tele-seminars we will discuss actual case studies as well as trouble-shoot any issues that you may need help and support with.

I will also help you market and promote your business. I am deeply committed to you achieving a high level of professional success. I can help you design your website and other marketing materials and guide you in building a thriving practice.

You will be required to complete an extensive reading list and submit a case study in order to complete certification requirements. You will be supported and guided during our tele-seminars in completing these requirements.

How Much Does This Program Cost?

The tuition for the Indigo Family Coach Certification Training and Apprenticeship Program is $1,797.00 USD (if needed, a payment plan can be arranged). Typically you will be able to charge between $100.00 to $175.00 per hour in your coaching practice. What you charge is entirely up to you, but I will share with you my experience and how to market effectively to feel rewarded for your expertise.
